Initial Inspection

• The first inspection (also considered initial maintenance) should be performed after riding 10–300 km (6–186 miles).
  

Components to Check

1. Chain Tension
   Ensure proper tension and smooth movement.
2. Spoke Tension (Front & Rear Wheels)
   Inspect all spokes for proper tightness and alignment.
3. Steering Headset Play
   Check for looseness or abnormal movement in the headset.
4. Handlebar Bolts
   Ensure all handlebar bolts are secure.
5. Belt Tension
   New belts may produce slight friction noise; apply wax to both sides if needed. This noise is harmless and can be ignored.
6. Suspension
   Inspect for oil leaks and ensure compression/rebound damping is correctly set.
   Avoid turning adjustment dials fully clockwise or counterclockwise.

Safety Notes During Inspection

• The vehicle must be powered off during all inspection and maintenance activities.
  
• Park the vehicle on a flat, open area.
  
• If a test ride is necessary, conduct it in a safe, controlled environment while staying aware of your surroundings.
  
• Address any abnormalities before riding. If issues cannot be resolved independently, contact after-sales service or an authorized service center.

Braking System

• Both front and rear brakes are mechanical disc brakes. Replace brake pads if severely worn.
  
• Keep the braking system clean during daily use. Avoid prolonged exposure to dirt, sand, or oil contamination.
  

1. Suspension Inspection

• Examine the suspension for bending, deformation, or damage.
  
• Inspect the front suspension for any signs of looseness, oil leakage, or structural damage.
  
• Gently shake the handlebars to detect abnormal noises caused by suspension issues.
  
• If any irregularities are found, contact after-sales service or an authorized service center immediately.

2. Brake Lever Inspection

• Check the free play of the brake lever; it should be 15–30 mm.
  
• If it does not meet this specification, make necessary adjustments or seek professional assistance.

3. Braking Performance Test

• Conduct a low-speed test on a flat, open road.
  
• Apply the front and rear brakes separately to verify proper stopping performance.

4. Tire and Related Components Inspection

• Tires are constantly in contact with the ground and are susceptible to damage from debris such as stones, glass, or nails.
  
• Regularly inspect tires and related components for:
  1) Tread depth
  2) Loose or damaged wheel spokes
  3) Cracks, punctures, embedded debris, or abnormal wear
  4) Chain tension (should have 10–20 mm of vertical play)
  5) Tire pressure (check when tires are cold using a pressure gauge)
  
• Replace tires if tread wear reaches 2/3 of the wear indicator.
  
• If unusual noises or wobbling occurs during riding, contact after-sales service or an authorized service center.

5. Recommended Torque Values

• Crank axle: 30 N·m
  
• Rear wheel nut: 40 N·m
  
• Front fork: as specified in the manual

Important Notes

• Belt tension is pre-adjusted at the factory. Do not attempt to adjust it yourself.
  
• If the brake lever does not provide sufficient stopping power, check the brake pads for contamination.
  
• If braking issues persist, contact after-sales service or an authorized service center.

Note: Regular maintenance and inspections reduce the risk of malfunction. If additional service is required, please contact an authorized Viper S (TITAONE) dealer.

Recommended Maintenance Intervals
Extreme riding, harsh weather conditions, or insufficient cleaning may shorten the recommended maintenance intervals.

• Every Ride: Remove dust and debris from the shock absorbers. Check the air pressure and set the sag. Inspect and ensure the torque of shock absorber mounting bolts is correct.
  
• Every 50 Hours of Use: Remove the lower part of the shock absorber, clean and inspect bushings and seals, and replace the oil bath if necessary.
  
• Annually or Every 100 Hours: Perform a full overhaul of the front fork shock absorbers.
  

End-of-Life Product Processing
When your Viper S (TITAONE) product reaches the end of its life, return it to an authorized Viper S (TITAONE) dealer for proper disposal. Do not dispose of batteries or electrical components in regular waste.

Battery Maintenance

1. Check the Battery Level
   This vehicle uses a sealed battery. Press the battery switch to check the charge level. When all LEDs are lit, the battery is fully charged.
2. Inspect Battery Appearance
   Examine the battery for damage. Cracks or damage to the upper/lower sealing covers or the central meter may allow water ingress, creating safety risks. Contact after-sales service or an authorized dealer if damage is detected.
3. Charging Guidelines
   Ensure the charger’s input voltage matches the grid voltage.
   Always use the original factory-specified charger. Using an incompatible charger can damage the battery or create safety hazards.
   The charger will automatically turn off when fully charged. Avoid leaving the charger connected for more than 6 hours.
   Turn off the battery switch before removing or installing the battery.
   If the battery cannot be inserted, do not force it. Check for foreign objects blocking the compartment.
4. Battery Storage
   For winter storage, keep the battery indoors at temperatures above 0°C (32°F).
   Check the battery level regularly during storage to maintain optimal performance.

Motor & Controller Maintenance

1. Regular Checks
   Inspect the motor and controller wiring for secure connections.
   Ensure that motor screws and fuses are properly tightened and functioning.
2. Operational Precautions
   Avoid driving in deep water that reaches above the motor or wheel centers. Prolonged exposure to water can cause motor damage.
   If the motor, controller, or battery temperature becomes too high, or the battery is low, the controller may automatically reduce power. This is normal and not a fault.

1. Enter Settings Mode
Press and hold both gear buttons on the dashboard at the same time until a new page appears.

2. Go to Advanced Settings
• Press the power button to select “Basic Settings.”
• Press the gear down button to move to “Advanced Settings.”
• You’ll see the “ENTER PASSWORD” page.

3. Enter the Current Password
• Use the power button to move between each of the four digits.
• Use the gear buttons to change the numbers.
• When done, press the power button to confirm.

4. Open Password Settings
• After entering, press the gear down button to highlight “Password Settings,” then press power to confirm.
• On the next page, select “Set Your Password” and confirm with the power button.

5. Confirm and Set a New Password
• After selecting “Set Your Password,” you’ll be asked to enter your current password again to continue.
• Once confirmed, the password editing page will appear.
• Use the power button to select the digit you want to change.
• Use the gear buttons to adjust the number.
• The red digit is the one currently being edited.
• Press power to move to the next digit.
• When all four digits are set, press power again to confirm and save.

6. Exit Settings
Select “BACK,” then after two screens, select “EXIT.”

7. Confirm Your New Password
• Turn off the bike and restart it.
• Enter your new password to make sure it works correctly.

1. Always Wear Protective Gear
   Wear a certified helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads every time you ride to ensure maximum safety.
   
2. Inspect Before You Ride
   Make sure your electric scooter is fully charged and that all screws and components are securely tightened before each use.
   
3. Follow Local Traffic Laws
   Always ride responsibly and comply with all local road rules, traffic signs, and regulations.
   
4. Stay Sober While Riding
   Never operate your scooter under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair your judgment or reaction time.

   Be aware of the laws and restrictions regarding electric scooters in your country or region before riding.
